Many people around the world are unaware of the fact that a new branch of astrology has been discovered, because of which scientifically calculated forecast is a popular topic of discussion amongst the intellectuals. First and foremost articles based on this theory were published in a Delhi based magazine- ‘Babaji’- in the years ‘94, ‘95 &’96. Some were also published in various editions of ‘Jyotish Dham’(Bhopal). Seeing the popular demand of this theory a Delhi publishing house ‘Ajay Book Services’ brought out the book-’ Dynamic Dasha Padhatti- effect of planets’ by Sangita Puri in 1997.
One can estimate the popularity of this book from the fact that soon a second edition of this book had to be brought out in 1999.This book got so popular that it was sold out in and around Delhi. The third edition was also ready to be published but due to some hindrances it is still under process. Still gatyatmak jyotish is a popular topic of discussion around India. Mr.Mahendra Maharshi – asst. Director in Delhi Doordarshan, news dept.- has also introduced Mr. Vidya Sagar Mahtha and GATYATMAK JYOTISH in ‘Kadambani’ Nov. 2000 edition. A debate had also taken place over gatyatmak jyotish in a television program called “Priya Gold Future” on JAIN TV.
Before we talk further on this topic it is important to mention the name of it’s founder- astrologer Sri Vidya Sagar Mahata- whose scientific bent of mind gave way to gatyatmak jyotish. Sri Mahata was born on 15th July 1939 in the Bokaro region of Jharkhand. In his college years he developed so much interest in the astronomy paper that finding out the effects of the stars and planets on this earth became his sole aim of life. He was not interested in simple jobs or business.
Hence he studied the science of astrology. Because of his deep knowledge of mathematics and literature his articles soon got very popular in astrological magazines. In 1975 he got the 1st position in the ‘All India Astrological Competition’ conducted by ‘Jyotish Martand’. Thereafter he got several awards like- ‘Jyotish Vachaspati’, ‘Jyotish-Ratna’, Jyotish-Manishi’ and many more. In 1997 in an Astrological seminar conducted in Nabha (Punjab) amidst national and international astrologers he was awarded with gold medal.
He questioned the reliability of traditional astrology basing on the fact that different astrologers gave a different reading of the same horoscope. The first weakness of traditional astrology is related with the calculation of the strength of the planets. The surplus of formulas hinders the astrologers to come to a unanimous decision. After studying thousands of horoscopes he discovered the dynamic strength of the planets. The planets can be grouped under 6 different speeds in relation to Earth- (1) Very fast, (2) Fast, (3) Normal, (4) Slow, (5) Retrograde, (6) Maximum retrograde.
He concluded in his studies that at the time of a persons’ birth very fast and fast planets grant easy success to their respective signs to the native. Whereas normal and slow planets give it’s natives abundant success corresponding to their signs. In the same way retrograde and maximum retrograde planets have a negative effect on their natives. In 1981 the formula of dynamic and static strength from the angular distance of planets from sun and mercury was established. In this way we could get rid of the flaw mentioned above of traditional astrology.
The second flaw in the traditional astrology was the calculation of ‘dasha-period.’ Traditional theories related to the determination of Dasha period was also confusing. After having done years of research work he found that each planet effect humans’ life for a period of 12 years. From birth to the age of 12 years moon, 12years to 24 years Mercury, 24 to 36 years Mars, 36 to 48 years Venus, 48 to 60 years Sun, 60 to 72 years Jupiter,72 to 84 years Saturn, 84 to 96 years Uranus, 96 to 108 years Neptune,108 to 120 years Pluto also effect the human life. Seeing the special effect of various planets during special periods vidyasagar dasha system has been established. All planets effect their natives in their respective periods depending on their dynamic and static strength.
On the basis of these two above mentioned scientific basis it was easy to do further research in this field. Soon it was possible to sketch a life graph charting the ups and downs, his pleasures and disappointments in life based merely on a person’s date, place and time of birth. For the information of positive and negative period calculation of comparative dynamic strength came handy. Almost 100% accurate forecasts could be made and one could tell when and to what extent the native can achieve success. There is no importance of presence of any planet in a sign in a horoscope in gatyatmak jyotish, significant is to know the dynamic and static strength of that planet in the absence of which prediction would be impossible. In the calculation of ‘Gochar’ also after the knowledge of static and dynamic date-based predictions can be done confidently.
Astrology has become an objective science with the development of gatyatmak jyotish. In order to establish astrology as a complete science, publish his books based on gatyatmak jyotish and to materialize his dream of removing the superstition from the society Sri V.S.Mahata resides in New Delhi. In the coming Dynamic era gatyatmak jyotish will be substantial to prove the importance of astrology.
